Dr. Evans graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine and joined Apex Animal Hospital in 2013. While at vet school he gained considerable experience treating large and small animals alike, but is excited to use his skills to serve the pet population in Helena.
He has taken several trips overseas to treat animals that have never had access to veterinary care. Those trips have greatly impacted the way Dr. Evans views veterinary medicine-understanding the central role animal play in food security worldwide and the profound impact of the human-animal bond.
He grew up in the heat of South Texas, and is now enjoying the cool mountain air of Helena. He attended The University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate training where he received a degree in ecology.
He spends his spare time in the outdoors camping, hiking, or rock climbing but is an avid admirer off all things nature-from the intricacies of animal physiology to the grizzlies he’s afraid of in Montana. However, while in the city he enjoys riding his bike or playing basketball and serving through his local church.
